Ok Virginians, I’m not gonna beat around the bush on this but
defeating Senator Tim Kaine will not be an easy task. There’s no
need to live in a fantasy world or in a state of denial spouting claims of “Let’s call this race a toss up” or “2024 is the year we flip from blue to red”. This Senate seat will be a very difficult seat for
Republicans to win, but it’s not impossible and if Republicans want
to win this they need a very well thought out strategic plan.
So far eight candidates have declared their intent to give Kaine a run for his money and they are as follows.
- Jonathan Emord
- Hung Cao
- Kimberly Lowe
- Eddie Garcia
- Chuck Smith
- Scott Parkinson
- Gwendolyn Hickman
- Ron Vitiello
I am sure there will be a few minor candidates that will drop out
prior to the primary which is set for Tuesday, June 18th 2024 or will
fail to acquire the amount of signatures required to appear on the
ballot but let’s focus on four of the candidates who I’m sure will not only make the ballot but are making an impact on voters currently
on the campaign trail. (NOTE: I am not personally endorsing any
candidate at this time)
Jonathan Emord: an author and Constitutional lawyer who has won many cases in federal court against the FDA. While professing and possessing a Conservative view for America which is what we
indeed need, he also possesses some Libertarian traits as someone pointed out to me recently even acquiring the endorsement of Libertarian champion Ron Paul. Emord, without compromise could also be key in drawing Libertarian voters as well as someIndependent and Moderate voters however this is not 100%guaranteed. More about Emord’s platform can be found at

Chuck Smith: fact is Chuck is the ultimate Conservative champion
in this race thus far, fired up with a love and enthusiasm for this
country, Chuck doesn’t cut corners on the facts and has the
backbone to tell it like it is. Morals, patriotism and common sense
are three important traits found in his character. Chuck who is also
an attorney and a veteran who served this country with great honor also ran for Attorney General in 2021 in a very close race against current Attorney General Jason Miyares, which proves that Chuck is no stranger to Virginians and that his namesake can still impact and influence the Commonwealth as a whole. More about Chuck’s platform can be found at chucksmithva.com
Hung Cao: Like Chuck, Cao is another solid Conservative who
served this country with great honor and came to America as a
refugee from Vietnam and with that Cao knowing first hand of why
securing our borders and upholding our immigration laws is crucial
to the fairness to the citizens of this country and those seeking
citizenship shows that Cao would be a great asset to the U.S. Senate in regards to this issue alone. Cao ran for Congress in 2022 for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District losing to incumbent
Representative Jennifer Wexton. More about Cao’s platform can be
found at hungforva.com .
Scott Parkinson: served as Chief of Staff to then Representative Ron DeSantis and as Deputy Executive Director of DeSantis’
gubernatorial campaign. Parkinson, another professed Conservative has been endorsed and earned the respect of the vast majority of House Representatives and Senators who declare their desire to serve alongside him, however the question is can Parkinson earn the respect, support and most importantly the vote of Virginians to be their next Senator? More about Parkinson’s platform can be found at scottparkinson.com
These four out of the eight candidates are the ones who I believe
will be in the ultimate battle for the Republican Nomination and are
making the most impact on Virginians currently. But the question is
who is the best candidate to take on Senator Kaine?
Kaine, who has no Democratic challenger will not be taking this
election lightly, he will be pushing hard to earn the vote of Virginians once again and while I do believe Kaine is in the wrong
morally and policy wise. Having served as Governor of Virginia,
Serving his second term in the Senate currently and even being
Hillary Clinton’s Vice Presidential pick in 2016 shows a major
political resume on his end and people will recognize that as they
prepare to head to the ballot box.
But still that doesn’t mean he has Virginia’s best interest at heart, he doesn’t! And that’s why it’s time for Virginia to not only have a
change in representation but a Conservative without compromise
doing the will of the American people.
For nearly the past decade I’ve heard claims that Virginia needs a
“good moderate” that’ll draw independent voters in order to flip the blue seats in the Commonwealth and it seems they use Governor Glenn Youngkin as that example today. Well in a way that is another form of compromise on Conservative values and that claim can be considered false!
Not long after the conclusion of the 2023 Election, a guy from my
church and I were discussing how Youngkin pulled it off in 2021 but
he didn’t do it now in which he brought up a good point in which I
agree with him 100%. Youngkin didn’t win but Terry McAuliffe lost
when he made the remark that wound up costing him a return to the Governor’s mansion:
“I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.” – former Governor Terry McAuliffe
That indeed was a declaration on his end where he basically said
screw parental rights and how they feel about what their children are being taught and of course that would be more than enough to rub parents the wrong way regardless which party they are in and as a parent myself I can honestly say thank God that man is not our
Governor again.
I’m sure Kaine and the other Democrats were in agreement with
McAullife’s remark but are not dumb enough to repeat it to fed up
parents who have had enough, but the question is why did the
concerned parents forget about this in 2023 which resulted in losing control of the House of Delegates and failure to win back the State Senate? And will we continue to turn a blind eye to this issue in this election?
Going back to Governor Youngkin and the whole “electing a
moderate” solution. Bottom line that’s not the approach to have even with some suggesting Youngkin to run for the U.S. Senate seat as in their eyes “he’s the most electable” which again they are wrong in that suggestion.
If Youngkin can take charge of leading the GOP to victory
throughout the Commonwealth only to suffer defeat and eat his
words of declaring the “not so” take back of the Senate then do you really think he can appeal to the moderate and independent voters who have voted for or would likely vote for Kaine? As Al Borland would say, I don’t think so Tim!
Folks, we need to stop voting for someone we think is the most
moderate or compromising our values for the sake of attempting to
win an election. Democrats are voting for Kaine because they know
he represents their platform and it’s time we vote for a candidate
who is a true at heart Conservative, will uphold our values and can
draw the voters without compromise. No more phony washed up
Establishment sympathizers!
It can be done but we must be wise in who we nominate. Once more this will be a very difficult task but if we do our homework, vet these candidates thoroughly and make the right choice on June 18th, then we have a better chance to tell Tim Kaine in November that he will no longer have a job.
Do not sit this one out! No more blaming Trump, no more blaming
redistricting, no more excuses period. Get your rear end to the polls and vote like our nation, our Commonwealth and our children’s futures are in jeopardy, because they are.
While this article and strategy focuses on the four stronger
candidates, your vote is crucial and those who have put their hat in
the race for the welfare of our Commonwealth deserve to have their platform heard as well, so I do encourage you to check them out as well.

You failed to include Eddie Garcia who is probably the only one of the 8 who can overcome the curse for candidates who dont first take a run though the governors mansion. Name all of the republicans who have won a US Senate seat who did not take the path through the governors mansion. Virginia swing voters want a seasoned executive.
