I support Rich Anderson for Chairman. You should support him, too.
At this critical time in the life of our party and our nation, the Chairman of the State Central Committee has two central roles. First, the Chairman has to unify our party. Second, the Chairman has to raise the financial resources necessary for the party. We need to unify and fund the party, in order to again compete and win in the Commonwealth.
I believe Col. Anderson is the best candidate in both regards.
Taking the second criteria first, Col. Anderson’s experience as a political candidate and officeholder have given him the skills necessary to craft an effective fundraising campaign without which we cannot compete. This role is particularly critical given the precarious financial condition of the party, as we enter this election season.
With regard to unity, Col. Anderson has made it hallmark of his campaign to speak across the divisions that so often hobble us as a party. Moreover, he believes that in the inevitable disputes that arise within the party, it is the role of the Chairman to stay above the fray and administer a fair process, rather than act as an advocate (or, worse, manipulate the rules) for one side or the other. He understands that, whatever the outcome to a particular dispute, so long as the process is fair and transparent, all Republicans can and will rally together to fight for the principles of our party.
If you would like to see a party that is financially sound, fair and unified, I encourage you to join me in supporting Col. Anderson for Chairman.
