Today Del. Onzlee Ware, D-Roanoke, announced his resignation from the seat he just won last week, stating his mother’s ill health. The Governor will call a special election to fill the seat. That election could be as early as the January 7th, the day before the General Assembly convenes in Richmond for the 2014 session.
With the current split in the Virginia House of Delegates standing at 67 republicans and only 33 democrats, might we expect more of these democrat resignations? It’s not much fun to be in the minority.
