On February 5th the unknown candidate for Congress in the 10th district, Rob Wasinger, issued this statement:
“In launching this campaign, I promise a conservative resurgence,” declared Wasinger. “From Fairfax to Winchester, Manassas to Leesburg, Loudoun and McLean, and all points in between, with the good people of Virginia’s tenth congressional district, we will put an end to the corruption of the cronies and the lobbyists, and restore the basic freedoms of limited government of, by and for the people.”
“We cannot sit idly by and watch bought-and-paid-for politicians argue over who will steer us over the fiscal and ethical cliff,” stated Wasinger, who is respected by his colleagues on both sides of the aisle for his effectiveness. “It is time to return the Republican Party to its conservative roots. And we must start this initiative today, right here, in Virginia. With firm resolve, we will win this fight over the heart and soul of our nation, to pass down to our children a nation that is better off than when we received it from our parents.”
The Connection newspaper added: “To schedule an interview with Rob Wasinger, please email his Press Secretary Jon Scott at [email protected].” Jon Scott, also known as Jonathan Weinberg, Scott Weinberg and Jon Weinberg, is a frequent commenter on this blog and the only commenter we have ever been forced to censor. More on the subject here. He is a detriment to any campaign. Rob Wasinger’s full announcement of candidacy here.
Mr. Wasinger has filed the necessary paperwork and the filing fee to be on the 10th district Firehouse primary ballot on April 26.
