If candidate Rob Sarvis was truly a patriot, truly in love with the Commonwealth and truly fighting for your liberty—that would be the headline. And, we should call for him to demonstrate his patriotism by doing just that and doing it now. Sarvis holds just 8% support less than 45 days out–its time for him to realize there is no way to win, in turn, do everything possible to ENSURE McAULIFFE DOES NOT WIN.
THE WAKE UP CALL
Yesterday was a renewed wake-up call for Virginian’s, at least those who value their gun rights which includes pro-gun Ron Sarvis. As reported on Breitbart.com, in the section titled “Investing in Virginia’s Urban Centers,” TerryMcAuliffe.com now contains the heading, “Support Common Sense Gun Control Measures.” http://terrymcauliffe.com/investing-in-virginias-urban-centers
Under that heading, it states, “As Governor, Terry will support mainstream and majority supported gun control measures like universal background checks, limiting the size of magazines, and a return to the 1-gun-per-month rule. These measures respect Virginians’ right to bear arms while reducing gun violence.”
McAuliffe simply wants gun-control in Virginia as they have in NY and Maryland. I am confident Mr. Sarvis does not want the Commonwealth to mirror NY or Maryland. And neither do any of us, republican, independent or libertarian!
THE FORGOTTEN PAST OF SARVIS
I was recently reminded that this is not Sarvis’ first rodeo. In 2011, less than two years ago, he was in bed with the GOP running as a Republican in Springfield for the 35th district VA Senate seat against democrat Dick Saslaw. Sarvis lost and pouted off from the republican party.
Opportunistically, he reemerged this year under a new party—having no chance at all to win, right from the start. Maybe this kid is really not that smart after all and is himself without a plan?
AN EASY ANALOGY—even for Libertarians
Just like owning and being willing to use a gun, if there is an emanate threat to you, your life, your liberty or your family–your goal is to protect yourself and your family from that threat. Period. To do this, you can either run and hide, which does not get rid of the threat, or you find a way to prevent or eliminate the threat–that which is coming toward and wants to do harm to you.
In this example, McAuliffe is the threat and he is charging hard straight toward you and your family. You alone cannot get rid of him; you are not powerful enough nor close enough. But, guess who is standing close to him, Ken Cuccinelli. Humorously, college kid Sarvis jumps in front of McAuliffe who simply draws a gun (bare with me, its an analogy). Unfortunately, its McAuliffe and he doesn’t just have a 9mm with defensive rounds, he has a large 50 Caliber. He will run right through Sarvis as if Sarvis was never there. Cuccinelli, however, is in position to take McAuliffe out and protect your family. All Cuccinelli needs is you to toss him the ammo.
Do you let McAuliffe run through Sarvis and get to you and your family or do you help Cuccinelli take him out now? Disclosure–that was just an analogy, don’t actually toss Ken anything or act other than with your support for Ken and your vote.
A CALL FOR SARVIS TO BE A TRUE PATRIOT
If Sarvis has no chance to win why would he not want to ensure a win for all likeminded or even semi-likeminded Virginians? Either he continues on and reveals true colors; perhaps self-centered, opportunistic and uncaring for the Commonwealth’s future, or, he packs in his campaign efforts and demonstrates that he is a true patriot, supporting and calling for his supporters to back and vote for the candidate who can beat McAuliffe.

If you contact Sarvis or his staff by phone or email, be polite and don’t ask why he is running or get into a debate. Simply say, “With only 8% of the vote, please pull out and support Cuccinelli so we can prevent McAuliffe from winning. Please be a patriot and help us.” Its that easy.
