With 2015 being his 40th year in the Virginia Senate, Senator Chuck Colgan will not run again. The 87 year old Senator said this about his retirement,
“I’m going to bow out with that, with being the longest-serving senator. I’m not going to run again.”
Colgan has said this in the past only to have democrats talk him into changing his mind and running again. He says that will not happen this time.
Colgan’s 29th Senate district leans left, but could be a pickup for Republicans.
