According to School of Athens blog the real reason Sweet Briar is closing is not because they don’t have money (they do) but because Disney wants the land for another big Disney amusement park. It helps explain why our attorney general is arguing in court briefs to close the school immediately. This is terrible for the girls who were enrolled at Sweet Briar and hoped to graduate over the next three years. No matter. Disney is more important. Read the article.
