WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) in Detroit started a Facebook thread last week to get comments in support of a story they wanted to write. The more than 96,000 responses they received were less than supportive. A sample of them is provided below. They asked: “After the vaccines were available to everyone, did you lose an unvaccinated loved one to COVID-19?”
Ryan – No, but I lost a vaccinated one.
Katelyn – No. I lost a vaccinated one and another has GBS from the vaccine.
Carmen – No, we were all fine, but almost lost one of my vaccinated family members!
Kim – My mother passed away 3 weeks ago from covid… she was fully vaxxed back in January.
Spike – This wasn’t the response you expected, I suspect.
Lani – My son’s classmate lost her mother from heart complications due to the vaccine.
Kimmy – No, I lost a fully vaccinated loved one and wife is in the ICU…
Kimberly – What about the vaccinated loved ones that were lost??????…. No one wants to talk about that????? It’s all about the unvaccinated and keeping the fear going… absolutely ridiculous!
Liz – Will you be doing any stories of the people that overcame Covid and have antibodies? Will you be doing any stories on the thousands that also have debilitating side effects from the vaccine? Curious if you will be balanced journalists and media or not – but guessing NO!
Wendy – How about sharing how many after getting vaccinated passed from COVID, let’s talk about that.
Katie – A friend of a parent went into cardiac arrest almost immediately after receiving second dose. They were unable to revive her. I also know of someone who lost a limb due to a blood clot/circulation issue after being fully vaccinated. Hm. From the looks of the comments, you might want to change your story topic.
Ashlee – I have some vaccine injury stories if you are interested! How about that!?
Danielle – They wanna talk about losing unvaccinated people but don’t wanna speak one word about the ones we lost that were vaccinated cause they don’t want that truth to come out.
Alicia – My dad passed away 3 months after his 2nd shot.
Adam – I know people who died painfully from the vaccine. Want those stories?
Justin – Losing anyone is hard. I absolutely feel for each of these folks. Just curious, when is the story coming about those who lost loved ones who were fully jabbed?
Bianca – How about we hear the stories of people who are vaccinated and lost their lives?!
Noelle – My dad flat-lined after his second dose of Moderna
Alice – Husband diagnosed with Vestibular Neuritis after Covid shot. I am more than willing to share his story.
Shanna – We lost 10 vaccinated friends and family members in the past two weeks. 5 of those were Police officers and firefighters.
Danielle – Would you like to share the story of my husband who developed heart arrythmia after getting the vaccine? Or how I developed reproductive system issues just being around him right after he was vax’d? Will we ever go back to reporting the news instead of furthering an agenda?
De Ann– I am so sorry for all of us. My husband has been in a terrible health situation after his second Pfizer vaccination. He passed away for a brief time then brought back to life. Along with multiple trips to the ER with mini stroke and the latest CT scan showed a lesion growing in his brain and he was told not to drive. Literally it’s like new symptoms keep happening, and we are spending all our money on office visits, specialists, and tests. No one and I mean NO ONE DARES to record the data as a vaccine reaction. So yeah. There’s a huge trust issue underneath this virus, and it’s vaccine.
Kristen – I know a family member with both doses who still ended up in the hospital with Covid. Then there’s my mom, someone already on blood thinners for clots, given the jabs, which have a known risk for clots. She had a massive stroke, while on blood thinners, as well as continuing bleeding on the brain.
Julie – My aunt’s mom got the vaccine, and within 3 weeks she was dead. How about we share the truth. What has happened to journalism, like true journalism. How about report facts instead of just one side you want people to believe?!

The comments I chose to present are mostly in the order they appeared, and yes, I dropped a few comments that did not help make my point, but then this is an opinion piece. I never tried to present this as straight journalism. Unfortunately, too many “journalists” do try to say their opinion pieces are “factual news.” The important question to ask is why the media is trying so hard to sell only the government’s side of the story? Makes you wonder what the government is trying to do behind this propaganda smokescreen (it has nothing to do with people’s health) and what other propaganda is being pushed as news.
