While Joe Biden’s popularity is in much decline among Independent and some Democratic voters alike and Donald Trump becoming the presumptive GOP nominee even being projected to win a majority of the swing states according to select polls in turn showing signs of the possibility of him returning back to the White House, there seems to be a lot of talk about the Independent Candidacy of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. And while he has been gathering the attention of Independent and Moderate voters (and maybe some Democratic voters with a tad bit of common sense), the question in this case isn’t will he win the Presidency but what does his candidacy mean for Donald Trump and MAGA?
Let’s be real here folks and look back at history, RFK Jr’s chances of receiving any electoral votes much less becoming the 47th President of the United States are very slim to none although he may very well get a fair amount of the popular vote and percentage, even more so than the 2016 and 2020 Libertarian nominees Gary Johnson and Jo Jorgensen but enough talk, let’s look back at two short and not so sweet examples from history.
The Presidential Election of 1912: Former GOP President Theodore Roosevelt, displeased with the Presidency of William Howard Taft decided to challenge him running under the newly established Progressive Bull Moose party, also on the ballot were Democratic nominee Woodrow Wilson and Socialist nominee Eugene V. Debs. While Roosevelt as a third party candidate carried an impressive 88 electoral votes and performed well over incumbent GOP President Taft, unfortunately his candidacy not only prevented him or the GOP from winning the Presidency, it instead resulted in Woodrow Wilson (a racist and segregationist) becoming the 28th President of the United States.
The Presidential Election of 1992: In 1992 President George H.W. Bush and Democratic nominee and former Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton were met with the company of Independent candidate and businessman Ross Perot. While Perot did have an impressive performance in this race, even being eligible to join both Bush and Clinton on the debate stage, he wasn’t as successful as Roosevelt was 80 years prior as he(Perot) carried no electoral votes despite carrying 18.9% of the popular vote which in turn probably took away votes from incumbent President and fellow Texan Bush, crowning Clinton as the 42nd President of the United States.
As I’ve stated before I don’t see RFK Jr winning the Presidency nor collecting a single electoral vote but what does his candidacy mean for Donald Trump and MAGA? Because one thing is certain, RFK Jr’s candidacy is either a secret weapon for MAGA or it’s a threat to the GOP, just as it was in 1912 and 1992. So looking back at the history from those presidential elections, surely this means RFK Jr will just wind up handing Biden another term to continue his destructive and immoral agenda, right? Well, not exactly!
I’m not saying it could but I’m not saying it couldn’t either. Again there are Moderate, Independent and even some Democratic voters (maybe some Libertarian voters) who are fed up with the Biden Presidency and want no part of it and in good conscience cannot and will not cast a vote for the incompetent President but are also not willing to vote or refuse to vote for Trump (for all the wrong reasons of course) that will see RFK Jr as the acceptable and neutral compromise and therefore cast their vote for him regardless of his chances.
So if the above case were to be so, there could be a possibility that a RFK Jr candidacy would pull potential votes from Biden even from those who voted (legally) for him in 2020 and that alone could very well be the secret weapon to help Trump become the 47th President of the United States and help the cause for the MAGA agenda. But this election is not one to play Russian Roulette with as a vote for RFK Jr doesn’t necessarily guarantee a MAGA victory and could also be the threat of giving us another term of Biden and his failed Build Back Better policies.
Bottom line RFK Jr’s candidacy could and should very well be treated as opening a Pandora’s box. While RFK Jr. has more sense than Biden does in his pinky toe, RFK Jr still possesses some Liberal tendencies especially on social issues. For the welfare of our morals, law, order and the Constitution, we must send Donald Trump back to the White House. At this point we need to rescue our Republic and keep it once and for all.

Perhaps RFK Jr is running in the hopes that DJT will pick him as a running mate out of fear that RFK Jr will draw off MAGA votes. Also will give DJT some of the fed-up with Biden votes.
That would be nice; but highly doubt it. No matter how bad the Democrats are now, Kennedy insists he will not abandon the party. This change is a technicality to put his hat in the race, and temporary (unlike Tulsi). RFK breaks with Trump big time on COVID/vaccines as well (I don’t blame him;)).
Really, before the election doesn’t Biden give Kennedy something to get him to go away? Did Kennedy pick his VP based on the loot she brings to the table? Now, since Kennedy has the loot available via his VP, does Biden have to take him more seriously? Republicans had better get at least the majority in House or Senate, if not, does it really matter if Trump wins? After 2 years of nothing in the US House with Trump Republicans running it via proxy, there is no way Republicans keep the majority in the House. Likely Republicans will lose the majority they have now any day. .
“.. give Kennedy something”?? Clarify?
What the RFK candidacy means to the MAGAts is simple: He proves that there are people out there who are more ignorant than the MAGAts. Not by much, but more ignorant.
