I spent the better part of four hours on my syndicated radio show this morning taking calls and outlining to my listeners why Trump won last night’s debate. This was in the face of the entire dopey political punditry talking head class who told their viewers on every cable network that Clinton won hands down.
How are they always so wrong about Trump?
They don’t get it. The movement is still passing them by. Their time has long ago expired. This discredited cabal of tired echo-chamber cable talk grifters — who rarely converse to anyone but themselves, least of all us common folk — is frighteningly out of touch with real America. And tone deaf.
Apparently those calling Clinton the night’s victor were watching a different debate than the American people were.
While Secretary Clinton did her best Hillarybot impression with 25 canned, scripted and dispassionate answers to rigged and ridiculous questions about Miss Piggy, tax returns, birth certificates and Howard Stern, Mr. Trump laid out a clear economic vision for America in the first half of the debate.
Clinton epitomized the physical embodiment of the ultimate political D.C. insider: the Tarpist, gangster-bankster establishment status quo candidate. Trump talked about jobs.
Clinton spoke directly to her cheap labor, donor pay to play, and Wall Street boardroom base. Trump was the outsider, the glass breaker, the change agent, the disruptor.
The pundits salivated.
Clinton pandered with perfect pitch and practiced poise. Trump straight-talked to 89 million regular Americans as if he were sitting around their kitchen table. And he did it in his typical gruffy and choppy Trump prose. It’s the connection, stupid.
I was right again. That’s why you opened this column. Thank you.
Here are all the polls that were released today validating my call on Trump winning the debate this morning.
