In a surprising vote tonight, during an often confusing meeting, the 10th District Republican Committee chose a Firehouse Primary, also known as a party canvass, to choose their candidate to replace retiring Congressman Frank Wolf. The committee voted to hold the canvas on April 26 in 10 different locations across the 10th district. There will be two locations in Fairfax and Loudoun counties, and one in each of the other jurisdictions. The committee has not yet chosen venues.
Candidates must file to run by February 15th.
