Senator Mark Obenshain’s bill, SB1060, allowing voter registration by political party has been defeated in the Senate by a vote of 21 to 19. [read_more]Two republicans voted with the democrats to defeat the bill. It will come as no surprise that (so called) Republican Senators John Watkins and Walter Stosch voted with all the Senate democrats to defeat the bill. Of course they want democrats to continue to vote in our primaries and have a say in who Republicans nominate.
