What the hell has happened to Ken Cuccinelli? I’ve watched Ken win every election by being himself, working hard, and never wavering on his ideals. He was hard charging, outspoken, and voters always knew exactly where he stood. For months we’ve been waiting for that Ken Cuccinelli to emerge. We all know he’s there, he’s always been there. So we patiently waited for Ken to be Ken again. We waited for him to stop listening to the overpriced and under performing consultants and listen to the people who have known him, supported him, and helped win for the last decade because we know Ken and we know what’s in his heart and mind. He know that he’s a brilliant, principled, conservative. We know that he led the charge against Obamacare. We know that there is no one more in favor of less government, lower taxes, and pro life. We know that he wants the people to make their own choices, with as little government interference as possible. Less government means more jobs, and a better economy. Ken understands that better than any politician. He also knows why the Second Amendment is so important to our liberty, knowing that nothing is more important than our freedom and liberty.
We know Ken did not support the massive tax increase passed this year by the Virginia General Assembly and championed by Bob McDonnell. So imagine my surprise today when I read this article in the Loudoun Times.
“There wouldn’t be a transportation bill right now if I didn’t save it as attorney general,” Cuccinelli said during an Oct. 7 interview with the Times-Mirror.
Apparently Ken is still listening to the consultants, despite the polls, and in spite of those closest to him telling him (begging him) to just be the Ken we’ve always known, the one who has always won, despite the odds, and the one who would never, ever, support a massive tax increase like the transportation tax bill. We do not need or want another pandering politician.
But the big fool consultants say to push on, and Ken is drowning, along with the rest of us:
