Early voting begins May 3 in Virginia. I will be casting my vote for Eddie Garcia for several reasons, some long familiar to readers here, and others more future-looking.
Eddie Garcia gets the military, and has been deployed into American wars abroad numerous times. While other candidates also have military experience, I like Eddie’s straightforward sharing of his experience – without undue glorification of it. These overseas wars have been costly, wholly political, and in retrospect almost completely useless. We need to put our most capable and patriotic people to work here at home, putting America first.
Eddie Garcia is to Virginia what Trump is to our whole country, minus the New York real estate background. Like Trump, he says what he thinks, he puts the working people of this country first, he can tell a story and remember who you are, and he has stepped up to help save Virginia and the US from going off the edge, losing our economy and sacrificing our freedoms at the altar of liberalism.
Eddie Garcia understands the real problems we have in public education, and he wants parents to have school choice, to reward great teachers, and effective public schools, and making homeschooling easier for our families. I agree with that!
Eddie Garcia understands more about the immigration and border security situation than I do, and far more than either sitting Virginia Senator. Garcia’s solutions put America first, and they also address the real underlying problems.
On life, on the Constitution, on faith and family, on every issue important to me, Eddie Garcia is passionate, knowledgeable, and most importantly 100% right. He will not be susceptible to the incessant backroom dealing and lobbying that goes on in the Senate, and among the Republican Senate caucus – he will remember who he works for!
There is another reason I am supporting Eddie Garcia for US Senate. I am a typical Republican voter – I’m 62 years old, served in the military, have a post-graduate degree, and can afford the next emergency car repair without sweating. I think the debt and the insanity in Washington DC is taking us off a cliff, but like most long-time Republicans in Virginia, I’m better positioned to deal with that, or the the next smaller crisis. Eddie’s message appeals to me.
But Eddie Garcia – like Donald J. Trump – also understands that the Republican Party needs to grow or it will surely die. He reaches out to the grassroots, and working class people of all ethnicities. His life experience echoes their own. He is a Republican for today, and also a Republican for the future. If the Virginia GOP is going to survive for long, we need more Eddie Garcias, a whole lot more, and we need to elect them with big margins!
I’m going to do my part to save the Republican Party in Virginia, to radically improve the quality of Virginia’s Senators, and to help save this Republic we all love, and need. I’m voting for Eddie Garcia for Senate, and I hope you will too!

I was disappointed to read this. I thought Karen went with the “liberty” constitutionalist candidates, she missed the mark on this one.
Karen,
Problem here, is Eddie Garcia is out of money. Had only $16,000 on hand on the April15 FEC report. Likely he owes that to staff. Less than 2 weeks before early vote starts, not enough time to raise the money you need for mail & TV. Same is true of Chuck Smith at $24,000 on hand. Jonathan Emord may be able to self fund, but he had $32,000 on hand.
This really leaves 2 viable candidates Scott Parkinson at $371,000 and Hung Cao at what he says is $571,000 even though the numbers don’t add up.
Unfortunately, we have to think about money & resources. Scott Parkinson has shown ability to raise money as Hung Cao has, but he will have the Club for Growth behind him. My opinion, he is the best pick.
