Lessons from Julius Caesar and the Roman Senate  

While the current situation has, so far, ended up quite differently, the death of Julius Caesar at the hands of the Roman Senate is strikingly similar in a number of regards to the political situation in America.

Caesar had declared himself dictator in perpetuity ostensibly to be able to improve the lives and fortunes of average Romans.  The Roman Senate had made a mess of things and the Republic was in disrepair.  It is not hard to notice the mess that the Biden administration has made and the state of America.  

It is clear that the Biden Administration views Trump as an existential threat.  The  fear that the administration has of any criticism, particularly that leveled by Trump, is palpable.  The Roman Senate, made up of Rome’s most powerful people, feared Caesar in the same light that the Democrats in power view Trump.

The actions taken by the Democrat leadership to eliminate the Trump threat and maintain power have been extensive.  From bogus impeachments during his term in office to constant lawfare attacks on Trumps’ personal and business affairs, the Democrat attacks have been nonstop,  The plot used against Caesar was spoken quietly within the Roman Senate.  This is quite the opposite of the current attacks on Trump but with the same intent.

The Democrat Party calls for violence have not diminished even in the face of the recent assassination attempt on Trump.  To the Roman senators, Caesar would be considered the equivalent of Hitler. To the now increasingly violent Democrats, Trump is the equivalent of  Hitler.  The Democrat calls for assassination and physical punishments are constant and contemptuous of the America citizenry.   (Notably, many of Trump supporters have been jailed by the Biden administration.)

Caesar, like Trump, was popular with the average Roman.  The Roman Senators, underestimating the extent of his popularity, went forward with his assassination.  The Democrats are constantly stunned by Trump’s resilience in the face of a multitude of attacks and that is because the people of America see through the phony political and legalistic plots and intrigues.   

To the Democrat Party, the assassination attempt on Trump was the equivalent of an attempt to save the Republic or, as they put it, democracy.  What happened with Caesar’s assassination was not the restoration of the Roman Republic, but multiple civil wars and then the installation of an Emperor.  The Democrat Party has obviously not studied much of history.

Caesar was a man for his times and that could not be allowed by those in the Roman Senate.  Trump has, thanks to God, survived this assassination attempt.  

Caesar was not careful.  Trump must be careful.
