It would appear that our own Senator Tim Kaine is hoping to be tapped by Hillary to be her Vice President. Kaine travelled through Iowa and New Hampshire for Hillary and now South Carolina, Nevada, and Colorado. He’s ‘gathering intel’ and letting Democrats in those states get to know him. From the Richmond-Times Dispatch,
I’m not much as an out-of-state persuader,” Kaine, with characteristic modesty, said by mobile telephone Monday night from South Carolina. “But I get a tremendous amount of intel, which is invaluable. … I see the things that are working for the campaign; things that can work better. My highest and best use is gathering intel, particularly for Virginia” — a reference to its primary on March 1, when roughly a dozen states, most of them in the South, choose delegates.
It remains to be seen how much influence Kaine will have in the Virginia primary. I support anything that might get Tim Kaine out of the Senate and out of Virginia.
