While the fireworks in last night’s debate were all about Mark Warner’s apparently being stranded in some sort of weird time warp (acting like he’s running against George W. Bush, and pretending like the last six years never happened), the real story is that he can’t explain away his bribe to get Phil Puckett to keep the Virginia Senate in Democratic hands.
