Democrat Backbencher Monty Mason tells voters he’s a mover and a shaker

TAKING CREDIT WHERE NONE IS DUE.  Politicians as a class can be a pretty vain lot, to be sure.  But Democrat Monty Mason, running for re-election in House of Delegates District 93 after serving just two years, really takes the cake.  In a new ad aimed at fending off rockstar GOP challenger Lara Overy, the Williamsburg-area delegate claims “Monty Made it Happen” when it comes to a whole range of issues, ranging from measures to combat abuse of nursing home residents to giving college credit for military training.  The problem?  Not a single bill ever introduced by this newbie has been passed.  Travis Fain has the goods here.
