How much will our taxes increase to pay for loss of federal funding?
On Friday the federal government announced they will begin to cut funds to five Northern Virginia school districts that refuse to obey Title IX. The following school systems will not agree to providing safe spaces for girls and women to use bathrooms and locker rooms, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties.
Those five counties said they would not require students to use the bathrooms and locker rooms that match their sex at birth as Title IX requires.
From WUSA9.com:
“Although this type of behavior was tolerated by the previous administration, it’s time for Northern Virginia’s experiment with radical gender ideology and unlawful discrimination to come to an end. OCR’s investigation definitively shows that these five Virginia school districts have been trampling on the rights of students in the service of an extreme political ideology,” said Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor. “The Trump administration will not sacrifice the safety, dignity, and innocence of America’s young women and girls at the altar of an anti scientific illiberalism.”
In response Virginia’s Attorney General Jason Miyares said:
“In my opinion, they are in violation of Title IX. I think this is a great example of being so open-minded that your brain falls out. Their first priority should be, I think, making sure our women keep their safe spaces.”
How much will this refusal to follow the law cost taxpayers in the five counties? It is the taxpayers who will have to cover the loss in federal funds.

2025: When modesty became illegal in Loudoun County
Mr. Miyares, do you happened to know an Attorney General in Virginia who is willing to do the job they were hired to do?
One who will bring these scofflaws before a judge because it is judges who have the authority to remove elected officials.
They are in dereliction of their duty to obey state and federal laws and are breaking the terms of the federal contracts.
Calling Mr. Miyares…….
These five districts have told Dept of Education to shove it. They each have a huge local tax base; federal money is not an important part of their budgets.
The Dept of Education attempt to intimidate these five districts has nothing to do with reality.
There need not be ANY loss of Federal funding. It’s quite simple. Vote out, or remove by whatever method works, the brain dead morons in those districts and put in intelligent humans who will comply with Federal Law! The time for Molly coddling the mentally ill children and their groomers is over.
” The time for Molly coddling the mentally ill children and their groomers is over. ”
God knows you people are ignorant. I can’t speak for other counties but Prince William County Public Schools have almost 90,000 students. Of that 90,000 there are TWO — TWO as in one, two — transgendered students both of whom are under physician’s care and treatment, both of their sets of parents are fully-involved in their treatment. No one is mentally ill and no one is “grooming” anyone.
All this rightwing MAGAt Bull Elephant horseshit about grooming, teachers telling kids to have sex change operations and other monstrous lies makes me wonder just exactly who in our society are the perverts. After all, it’s the only thing you think about.
I am pleased that these two, as you allege, are receiving treatment for their mental illnesses. I hope that they re able to be functioning adults in the gender they were born with.
It’s still a matter of the boards not complying with Federal law despite their protestations to the contrary. And yes the kids who are being encouraged to “change genders” are mentally ill and their enablers are the very definition of groomers. As for your bitterness towards MAGA, well there’s nothing I can say except to encourage you to seek competent psychiatric help for your TDS before your harm yourself or someone else.
You respond with a torrent of lies. Which tells me a lot about you.
There were no lies, just facts that you seem to be blind to. Sad.
Oh Don, you silly rabbit. If there are 90,000 students, as you say, then it is even more ridiculous that the school board and officials would sacrifice the federal funding for 2 students.
