According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Corey Stewart will announce tomorrow his intention to run for Senate next year. The announcement will take place at his home at 11:00 am. If Stewart wins the nomination he will face first term Democrat Senator Tim Kaine. A month ago Stewart surprised many people when he came close to beating Ed Gillespie for the Republican nomination for Governor. While Corey Stewart has his problems, he’s got a head start in running for the nomination for Senate. The Republican State Central Committee has already agreed to a primary in 2018.
