My name is John Massoud and I’m here in a couple of different ways, 1st as the Vice Chairman of the Shenandoah County GOP and the 6th Congressional District GOP. Also in my role as a member of the Strasburg Virginia Town Council. I stand here in defense of every patriot who showed up tonight, and every patriot who can not be here to say:
We purchased our guns with the understanding we were doing something legal, and for the Progressives in Richmond to actually say that it is in our best interests to turn us into criminals, 1 million Virginians into criminals, is the nuttiest thing I have ever heard.
I would also like to say for the record, we are told we should compromise. You can not compromise with someone who is trying to put you in jail, trying to destroy you. They do not understand, and they will not listen. They only thing they will understand is a legislative smack in the mouth. That is why it is so important that you pass this sanctuary resolution.
Now I’m going to speak to you very briefly in my role as a member of the Strasburg Virginia Town Council. I wrote the resolution that Strasburg passed. We passed it unanimously. Democrats and Republicans came together on behalf of our 6,800 to 6,900 citizens. Pretty much all of whom wanted this resolution. And I can tell you it was the proudest moment of my life, to vote Yes. I hope that each and everyone of you feels the same way I do, when you vote Yes. Like a proud American.
