The annual straw poll was taken tonight at this year’s Loudoun County Republican Committee Jamboree with the following results:
The 13th Senate District:
Geary Higgins, 89 votes
Ron Meyer, 81 votes
Mike Buscher, 10 votes
These results were surprising since the room seemed to be filled with very young people who had not been seen at any other event in Loudoun, ever, and they all seemed to be supporting Ron Meyer. It was rumored that many were not Loudoun county voters, nor did they live in the 13th district.
A second poll was taken for those who supposedly lived in the 13th district but there was no way to verify residence, many people didn’t know what district they lived in, and a few people (like me) didn’t realize we could make that distinction on our ballots. With all of these irregularities, I am not posting those results because they simply are not valid.
The only primary for Loudoun Supervisor is in the Blue Ridge district where the Jamboree was held. Those results:
