Governor McAuliffe has had high approval numbers but they have declined since he began campaigning for Hillary. His approval rating has dropped from 58% to 53% and his disapproval ratings have increased from 24% to 29%. McAuliffe ranks 15th in approval/disapproval percentages.
Compare those numbers to Maryland where Republican Larry Hogan has a 70% approval rating with only 17% disapproving. A Republican in the very Blue state of Maryland! Hogan is second only to South Dakota where Republican Governor Dennis Daugaard has a 74% approval rating with a mere 15% disapproving.
In North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory (R) has lost 4% in approval, down from 50% to 46%, while he gained 6% in disapproval, 38% to 44%. It’s likely the ‘bathroom bill’ in North Carolina is affecting his numbers. The left is desperate to have men in girls bathrooms and locker rooms and Governor McCrory is in opposition.
Among the top 10 Governors with the highest approval ratings only two are Democrats. (Governor McAuliffe ranks 15th.) The same is true with disapproval rankings, Republicans hold 8 of the top 10 in that category too. That’s not surprising since Republicans dominate in the number of Governors, 31 are Republicans, 18 are Democrats, and 1 is independent.
