Last evening by an overwhelming vote, the Shenandoah County Republican Committee (SCRC) passed the resolution below in response to the recent raid on former President Trump and the First �Lady�s home in Mar-a-Lago. The SCRC believes firmly in the rule of law and that justice should be applied equally to all citizens as mandated by our Constitution; �however, we believe strongly that this was an unnecessary overreach by both the �Executive and Judicial Branches and sets a dangerous precedent that may be abused in the future. The Shenandoah County Republican Committee strongly condemns the use of the United States Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to target political opponents of the Biden Administration.�
We call for the immediate release of information related to the recent raid of former President Trump�s home. Transparency is needed regarding this apparent weaponization of federal law enforcement agencies by using a criminal investigation to carry out political prosecution.�
We call on the Attorney General of the United States to appoint a Special Prosecutor to be seated immediately to review these recent actions and the appearance of unequal justice by the� United States Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of�Investigation.
