Virginia Senate committee kills bill that would have eliminated 1% grocery tax

Tax on food is a dragging anchor reducing net disposable income. It dims the prospects of the lower income people growing wealth for their family’s future. The total cost of education should be ONE line item in the budget. Presently there are so many different sources of taxes taken for our “Childrens’ Education.” Much of which is not wisely spent. This is obvious to most casual observers. Remove the food tax and continue to fix the education problems, but not by throwing money at it.

BTW, the car tax is the same negative economic character. We need cars to get around. And taxing them makes it an extra cost (of ownership). We need to free up that tax burden, to remove another dragging anchor on the household budget. Yes, I stated the obvious again.
