On Sunday Trump sent out a series of tweets blasting RPV for the “Statement of Affiliation” which will be on the Virginia Republican ballot on March 1st. Voters must sign the statement, “My signature below indicates that I am a Republican”, which Trump found objectionable.
In his first tweet Trump said,
“It begins, Republican Party of Virginia, controlled by the RNC, is working hard to disallow independent, unaffiliated and new voters. BAD!”
Trump believes the RNC controls the Republican Party of Virginia and is urging them to take action in Virginia.
“R.P. Virginia has lost statewide 7 times in a row. Will now not allow desperately needed new voters. Suicidal mistake. RNC MUST ACT NOW!”
