Suzanne Youngkin, Virginia’s First Lady, was rescued from their property in Hunt, Texas when flood water from the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in just a few hours. The First Lady was raised in Hill Country where her family has lived for 80 years.
From the Patch.com:
“My family was there, along with friends, and by the grace of God, my family was safe,” Youngkin said. “I have to say there was moments when they weren’t. They ended up being safe during the day.”
Governor Youngkin went to Texas on Friday to thank the National Guard who rescued his family.
